KENDAL REGENCY HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX 2023 VOLUME 3, 2024

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator of the achievement of the development of the quality of life of the community which is compiled based on three basic dimensions, namely longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and decent living standards. The dimensions of longevity and healthy living are represented by indicators of life expectancy at birth. The knowledge dimension is represented by the indicator of school length and the average length of schooling, while the standard of living dimension is represented by per capita expenditure adjusted in PPP (Purchasing Power Parity). HDI figures are presented periodically every year at the national, provincial and district/city levels. The periodic presentation of HDI figures by region allows each region to know the development of human development in its region, both achievements, speed, position and disparities between regions. The Kendal Regency Human Development Index in 2023 has reached 73.86. With the achievement of HDI, Kendal Regency is in the position of human development status in the 'high' category. This achievement brings Kendal to 17th position out of 35 regencies/cities in the achievement of human development in Central Java Province.
