Consumer Price Index Development for February 2025 in Jawa Tengah Province

Abstract

In February 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation in Jawa Tengah Province was 0.08 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.75. The deepest y-on-y deflation occurred in Wonogiri Regency at 0.48 percent with a CPI of 106.12 while the highest y-on-y inflation occurred in Cilacap at 0.30 percent with a CPI of 105.71.
The y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index of two expenditure groups, namely: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 15.41 percent and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.73 percent. Meanwhile, nine expenditure groups experienced an increase in the index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.99 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.13 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.99 percent; the health group by 1.95 percent; transportation group by 1.27 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.81 percent; education group by 1.79 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.57 percent; and personal care and other services group by 6.75 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Jawa Tengah Province in February 2025 was 0.78 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.23 percent.
