Abstract

In December 2022, a combined six cities in Central Java experienced inflation of 0.47 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.34. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced inflation.

The main causes of inflation in December 2022 were the increase in the price of rice, purebred chicken eggs, gold jewelry, cooking oil, and purebred chicken meat. The main restraint of inflation is the decline in the price of air freight, spinach, oranges, kale, and long beans.

The inflation rate for the calendar year December 2022 was 5.63 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (December 2022 to December 2021) was 5.63 percent.
