Abstract
In September 2022, a combination of six cities in Central
Java experienced inflation of 1.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of
112.78. Of the six CPI cities in Central Java, all cities experienced
inflation.
The main causes of inflation in September 2022 were the
increase in gasoline, rice, diesel, intercity transportation, and housing contracts.
The main drivers of inflation are the decline in the prices of air freight,
onions, purebred chicken meat, gold jewelry, and cinemas.
The inflation rate for the calendar year September 2022 was
5.11 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2022 to September
2021) was 6.40 percent.
