Kartini Day Commemoration on April 21, 2025

Kendal - Monday (21/4), BPS Kendal Regency held an ceremony in commemoration of Kartini Day 2025. This event was attended by all employees and other staff.

R.A. Kartini was a Javanese nobleman from Jepara who was born on April 21, 1879. R.A. Kartini attended the Europesche Lagere School (ELS) in 1885. This was against the tradition of the time where women were prohibited from attending school and not allowed to leave the house. However, this did not discourage her and she continued to strive for knowledge and achievement. In addition, R.A. Kartini established a special school for women in Rembang, which now functions as a scout building.

The spirit of R.A. Kartini's struggle is a reminder for all of us that everyone has the right to education and equality. Let us continue her struggle by working, inspiring and influencing others.
