Central Java Population Expenditure Inequality Level March 2024

Abstract

In March 2024, the level of inequality in the population of Central Java as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.367. This figure decreased by 0.002 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.369.

Based on the World Bank's size of inequality, the distribution of expenditure in the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 18.90 percent in the low inequality category.

In March 2024, the Gini Ratio in urban areas was recorded at 0.399, unchanged compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023. The Gini Ratio in rural areas was recorded at 0.310, down from 0.318 in March 2023.
