Kendal [21/11]. The aim of carrying out the 2020 Population Census (SP2020) is to obtain population numbers based on where they live. This will help local governments in preparing population and social programs and will also be the government's first step in realizing One Indonesian Population Data. One of the data achievements that can be obtained from SP2020 is population projection data. Population projections are a scientific calculation of population in the future based on assumptions about the components of population growth at a certain level, the results of which will show population characteristics, births, deaths and migration.
Population projections are prepared to present population data which contains an overview of the condition of the number, structure and composition of the population in the future as well as a basis for formulating regional development policies and planning.
To disseminate the results of the population projections that have been released, BPS Kendal Regency is holding a socialization activity on the results of the SP2020 population and longform projections. The activity which was held at Sae Inn Kendal invited 2 resource persons to attend, namely the Secretary at the Kendal Regency Population and Population and Civil Registration Department, Ir. Akhyan, and Junior Statistician of BPS Central Java Province, Meryanti Sri Wulandari SST, M.Sc.
Akhyan delivered topical material related to population data management at the Kendal Regency Population and Population Data Department, while Mery delivered material related to SP2020 projection and longform data which is useful for planning in the Kendal Regency regional government. The activity continued with a discussion and question and answer session regarding data management and Civil Registry Services as well as SP2020 results data.
